tweeblaarkanniedood

The plant in the background is a 'tweeblaarkanniedood' or 'welwitschia'. Some of these 'living fossils' may be more than 2000 years old. 
They live in the Namib desert - but one kiddo also grows up here, in the heart of Amsterdam.
