Jan Hoet, Belgium's most famous art curator, died last week at the age of 77. Hoet was the founder of S.M.A.K., the contemporary art museum in Ghent, and opened its new site in 1999 with a legendary boxing match. These kind of initiatives were characteristic of his fighting spirit and inflammable passion for art. The works above were part of one of his last projects - the Middle Gate exhibition in Geel.
